Senior Information Assurance Security Engineer

Overview

Sustain and maintain the operability of the SAAS system and ensure that the system is compliant with the most current DoD Regulations and Policies and adhere to guidance as provided by the HQDA G4 and CASCOM.

Responsibilities

· Use an Agile Safe 6.0 or current for software development and delivery.

· Incorporate DevOps Git and Jira for creating, managing, and tracking requirements and defects.

· Establish and maintain a Cyber complaint DevSecOps at a minimum to include Git and Jira in accordance with PEO policy/direction Environment to support all software development and Configuration Management.

· Establish and maintain a properly configured test environment that’s representative of the SAAS Production Environment to support all levels of software testing.

· Establish and maintain a properly configured helpdesk environment to support SAAS helpdesk operations.

· STIG/IAVA Testing/Patching – Test and evaluate STIG, IAVA, service packs and patches for compatibility with SAAS products.

· POA&M – report all non-implemented IAVAs, STIGs and Bulletins within a system Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M). All non-implemented IAVAs and STIGs shall have Government concurrence.

· Risk Management Framework System Authorization/Continuous Monitoring – Track and manage RMF efforts to ensure SAAS System Authorization is maintained.

· Maintain the Disaster Recovery Site (DRS) and hosted by ALTESS.

Qualifications

Required:

· BS in engineering, computer science, information technology, or mathematics;

· 7 years’ information technology experience, preferably in DoD, at least 5 of which are in information systems security engineering, or security auditing; certified by a DoD approved security credentialing organization;

· DevOps experience using GIT and Jira, and Agile Safe 6.0

· Knowledge of designing and implementing countermeasures to identified security risks, finding vulnerabilities in IT systems, performing root cause analysis, creating and integrating security policies into both systems and organizations, integrating public key infrastructure technology into IT systems; assessing security of systems and software deliverables; analysis of system protection needs in context of policy, mission, and functional requirements; security configuration change management, and assessing the impact of planned and unplanned change.

· Requires IT-II and IAT Level I Certification.

· SECRET clearance is required.

· Familiar with Microsoft office suite (word, excel, power point, etc.)
