i3 is in search of an Information Systems Security Officer to join our team. Maintains a secure information environment within the Integrated Air Missile Defense developmental environment as an appointed Information System Security Officer (ISSO). Develops and enforces security policies, manages risks, responds to incidents, and stays current of evolving threats. Coordinates inspections, tests and reviews and responsible for continuous monitoring plan.
Responsibilities
- Participate in IS security inspections, tests, and reviews.
- Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies and procedures.
- Ensure System Administrators (SA) monitor all available resources that provide warnings of system vulnerabilities or ongoing attacks.
- Ensure and validate backup and data restoration processes and procedures.
- Respond immediately to security-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event analysis.
- Manage, maintain, and execute the information security continuous monitoring plan.
- Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.

- Conduct self-inspections to ensure that the IS function is operating as accredited and that accreditation conditions have not changed.
- Experience using eMASS to report and manage an Authorization to Operate package for an information system.
- Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning software use (ACAS, SCAP, EVALSTIG, etc.), and ability to analyze and report the results.
- Govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying media and equipment containing sensitive information.
- Interfaces with client to understand their security needs and oversees the development and implementation of procedures to accommodate them.
- Responsible for providing training to the organization on various security safeguards and regulations.
- Collect any required training data for mandated cybersecurity reporting.
- Implement, monitor, and ensure organization is compliant with Cybersecurity regulations such as NIST 800- 171, and DFARS requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Additional years of experience may substitute for degree.
- 2-7 years of relevant experience.
- CompTIA Security+ CE or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of the following regulations: Army, RMF, DFARS.
- Strong understanding and experience in the following: RMF Framework, FedRamp Regulations, Software Approval Processes, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Lifecycle, Change Control Boards, Continuous Monitoring, Network Security, Federal Security Regulations, Incident Response Plans, Policy Management.
- Ability to operate within a collaborative team framework in the workgroup and across IT Services.
- Understanding and experience with information security in a distributed computing environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
