Customer Shared ServicesProvides physical security advice and expertise to an assigned business / group to support the development and execution of physical security programs, policies, and practices and minimize the potential impact of criminal risk. Provides response and expert management of reported physical security events.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group. Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Conducts physical security reviews and threat risk assessments of enterprise properties and critical vendor properties to confirm compliance with standards and identifies gaps or issues.
- Performs risk-based analysis to determine appropriate security solutions.
- Provides recommendations to close gaps and minimize physical security and safety risk.
- Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on the implementation of solutions based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Educates business on all aspects of physical security risk management including relevant policies, appropriate procedures and practices, legislation and regulations and related training and learning opportunities.
- Participates in / leads significant security and building projects from a physical security, protection and safety view point (e.g. reviews and signs-off of on security designs and final inspection against security objectives).
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
- Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
- As it relates to physical security, leads/oversees the management of vendor relationships and provides guidelines for execution; ensures that all agreements are met as per requirements.
- Identifies business needs, designs/develops tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
- Coordinates and provides personal protection for designated personnel.
- Conducts appropriate site advances for security-related matters of designated personnel.
- Serves as a driver to designated personnel for corporate activities and events.
- Respond to / assist in the management of crisis situations, which may include situations outside of normal business hours.
- Manages response to physical security events.
- Adheres to all protocols and policy requirements including, collecting evidence, assessing the risk profile of the incident and implementing appropriate action steps to address identified risks.
- Collaborates in the periodic reviews of the physical security program; understands industry trends, analyzes the impact and effectiveness of the program, provides insights, makes recommendations for enhancements and executes changes as required.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- This position may require the successful candidate to have a valid driver's licence.
- Knowledge of the business/group processes/procedures – Expert.
- Knowledge of physical security practices – In-depth.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety workplace requirements – In-depth.
- Knowledge of the operation / maintenance of building and physical security equipment – In-depth.
- PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Expert.
- Project management/program management skills – In-depth.
- Knowledge of applicable risk and regulatory requirements and the impact on the business/group – In-depth.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Salary:
$72,500.00 - $134,500.00Pay Type:
SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
