Your opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps + Security Engineer to join our team and enhance our Azure-based infrastructure and security practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both DevOps and security, with hands-on experience in leveraging Azure and Wiz to build secure, scalable, and high-performance systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Atlassian Bamboo to automate deployments while ensuring security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, and security) to design and deploy secure cloud infrastructure and applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Leverage Wiz to continuously monitor, identify, and address vulnerabilities across cloud environments, containers, and applications.
- Integrate security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines, including automated security scans, vulnerability management, and compliance checks to reduce risks.
- Ensure that infrastructure, applications, and data comply with industry standards and security best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls, including secure access management and the protection of sensitive data.
- Perform regular security audits, conduct threat assessments, and lead incident response efforts to identify and mitigate security risks proactively.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux/Unix systems with proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Security Center.
- Proven experience with Wiz for cloud security posture management, vulnerability scanning, and risk mitigation.
- Expertise in automating infrastructure management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on implementing security best practices for containerized environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian Bamboo, and Git.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and infrastructure-as-code principles and tools.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD), role-based access control (RBAC), and identity management.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST) and compliance regulations (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Sentinel, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk).
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management platforms and integrating security testing into DevOps workflows.
What you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree required in computer science or computer engineering
- Experience: 4-6 years of relevant work experience
- This is a remote position however, someone in the Central or Eastern time zones is preferable
