The role
As a Deputy Incident Response Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for the overall operational management of staff and provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure Contractual Performance compliance is achieved.  This position offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the organisation’s security posture, playing a critical role in defending against all potential threats to site and safeguarding business continuity.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll act as the second-in-command to the Incident Response Manager assisting in overseeing the incident response team, coordinating response efforts and implementing best practices to enhance the organisation’s resilience. 

 

  • Assist in leading the response to all security and safety incidents, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery phases
  • Act as a mentor and leader for all Incident Response Staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing while providing support and guidance during high-pressure situations
  • Collaborate with customer security teams and threat intelligence teams to analyse potential threats and assess their impact on the site
  • Ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Incident Response Teams are complied with including security, safety, and medical indicators. Understand when service delivery is not achieved and provide a suitable remedy
  • Lead and inspire teams while promoting company values, exhibit appropriate behaviour in accordance with company ethos and demonstrate a strong security and safety culture. Challenge behaviour and report issues when standards and expectations fall below required levels

 

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Capenhurst. As this is a 24/7 service there will be a requirement to work outside of office hours, evenings, and weekends so flexibility is essential.

 

Interviews will take place week commencing 17/02/2025.

 

Essential experience of the Deputy Incident Response Manager:

  • Experience in leadership and management delivering in a pressurised operational environment
  • Experience of leadership in security, with a focus on incident response or threat management
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of security and safety concepts, tools, and incident response frameworks
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a team-oriented mindset with a proactive and decisive approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, manage contractual requirements from the customer with timescales and challenging deadlines

 

Qualifications for the Deputy Incident Response Manager:

  • Formal management qualification or time served relevant experience

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
