We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Director of Information Security Engineering to lead our information security engineering organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the security of Autodesk's global infrastructure and business applications and requires a leader with extensive experience in managing multiple teams, collaborating across divisions, and making strategic decisions that align with company objectives.

  • Set requirements for security tools used within and external to Trust teams, in some cases this includes defining specific technologies to be used

  • Partner with operational teams outside of Trust to ensure programs/activities align with Trust requirements and outcomes. Ensure that security solutions are designed, implemented, and maintained to meet the highest standards

  • Develop and implement strategic security initiatives that align with Autodesk’s business goals and compliance requirements. This includes joint planning with internal strategic partners where appropriate

  • Provide leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-term security strategies

  • Manage multiple teams, ensuring cohesive and effective security practices across all disciplines

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth within the security engineering team

  • Stay current with emerging security threats and industry trends, adapting strategies as necessary

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external security partners and vendors

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in information security, IT security, security engineering, or related fields

  • 5+ years of experience in managing and leading high performing global teams

  • Extensive experience in leading highly complex organizations

  • Deep understanding of data security, network security, collaboration/messaging security, cloud/SaaS security, identity/access management security, and device trust

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic security initiatives

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, CCPA)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus
