SurePoint is looking for an entry-level Security Analyst to join our fast paced, growing organization. The Security Analyst will be responsible for risk assessment, incident operations, and compliance. This role is accountable for secure configuration management, as well as detecting, investigating, and responding to incidents. The Security Analyst will participate in planning and implementing preventative security measures as well as helping with disaster recovery preparation. This role reports directly to the Director of Security. 

Requirements

• Create, monitor, and maintain secure configurations.
• Detect, investigate, and respond to incidents.
• Plan and implement preventative security measures.
• Assist with disaster recovery.
• Manage 3rd party security compliance.
• Assist in PCI-DSS compliance activities.
• Function as the security operations center primary contact.

Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of security systems, including: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP
• Basic understanding of security concepts including: Least Privilege, Defense in Depth
• An understanding of various attack methods and attack surfaces
• Solid understanding of Network Protocols
• Experience in working with Cloud Providers like AWS and Azure
• Experience with Windows enterprise environments
• Willing to constantly learn and improve
• Strong technical and analytical skills

 Minimum Qualifications (any of the following) 

• 2+ years’ experience in cybersecurity
• Entry level security certifications (eg. Security+, GSEC)
• 2 year associates degree in information security, networking, computer science, or related discipline) or equivalent work experience within IT roles
