How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

As a Cyber Security Intern, you will be responsible for security event response as part of the Cyber Security Team. You will work closely with various IT teams, Security Architecture and Engineering to reduce the risk of malicious activity and attacks This role will be based in Charlotte North Carolina.

You Will Make an Impact By

• Actioning Security Events
• Review vulnerability reports
• Hunt environment for cyber threats
• Help build automated processes to improve response time to security events

Required Qualifications for Consideration

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s (upcoming sophomores, juniors & seniors) or master’s degree in Information Technology from an accredited university
• Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Proven ability to write shell scripts, python, powershell, and/or C#.
• Knowledge of how operating systems work and are configured.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
• Military-Affiliated candidates encouraged to apply (Veterans, Military Spouses, and Guard/Reservists)

You Will Excite Us If You

• Can proficiently code in python, powershell or shell scripts
• Have an intermediate understanding of how Linux and Windows operating systems work and are configured.
• Have intermediate knowledge of networking technology and basic network protocols.
• You leverage a home lab to hone your skills.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Show innovation through unique ideas and propose them to the team
• Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines
• Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
• Strong initiative; a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
