Job Summary
The Security Analyst II completes tasks designed to ensure security of the organization's systems and information assets. Protects against unauthorized access modification or destruction and develops IT security policies and standards. Works with end users to determine needs of individual departments. Implements policies or procedures and tracks compliance throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in IT or related field or related security certification or equivalent work experience with at least 4 years IT experience
- At least 2 years of experience with enterprise cybersecurity experience supporting cybersecurity teams including technical writing at least 2 years of networking experience
- Experience with IPS/IDS and SIEM technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office package (Excel SharePoint Access PowerPoint Word)
- Must be eligible to obtain a U. S. government security background clearance
- Knowledgeable of industry changes legal updates and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
- Familiarity of NIST risk management framework and cloud computing technologies
- Familiarity with EDR tools such as crowdstrike and agent based vulnerability tools such as Rapid7 as asset
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as lead administrator for IT security systems.
- Administers departmental firewall solutions email filters monitoring and prevention tools.
- Monitors and implements changes after approval backups works with trouble tickets and patching.
- Manages our strategic security partnerships to maximize our ability to respond and protect our environments.
- Responds to incidents on a 24x7 basis.
- Creates policies and procedures for the administration of IT security systems where needed.
- Performs vulnerability assessments
- Configures tests reports and provides guidance to correct deficiencies with IT system assessments.
- Escalates issues with the VP of IT Security and Compliance.
- Works with various levels of departmental personnel to ensure that business needs and security objectives are met.
- Completes work requests.
- Responds to email requests dealing with IT security systems.
- Works with section managers and the ISO to determine appropriate security controls for business systems.
- Assists the VP of IT Security and Compliance with technology evaluations and solutions.
- Conducts reviews of new and existing technologies and coordinates planning
- Reviews statistics from current IT security systems and provides feedback
- Assistance with technical aspects of various audit requirements for PCI Compliance NIST ISO and other frameworks.
- Manages and conducts surveys as required to complete appropriate documentation for compliance.
- Reviews statistics from internal and external audits and provides feedback to appropriate business units.
- Other duties as assigned.
