Core Description
Ensures that end-user needs for access to systems are met in a secure, comprehensive, and cost-effective manner. Is responsible for the ongoing development, deployment, and support of evolving multi-vendor IAM systems though identifying business needs, gaps, providing project management and hands-on implementation support for new IAM applications, while administering the IAM components and overall system.
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
• Plans, installs, configures and optimizes the operation of IAM components including the tracking of new releases available from vendors, patches and writes code to integrate IAM components (e.g. drivers, connectors, scripts, programs); tests it for both functional and robustness, and moves it into production.
• Produces and updates system documentation to record the IAM environment, including documentation of configuration settings, operating and recovery procedures and data structures, as well as designs and maintains user reports to support management information needs (while troubleshooting system/component failures)
• Functions as the primary liaison to IAM system/component vendors to resolve issues with their software.
• Provides project management for system implementations, which may include designing products, programming, providing team leadership, testing, implementing, reporting, reviewing finished products and tracking performance and data quality.
• Guides the formation of IAM policies that balance the need for seamless access with the requirement of enterprise security though keeping abreast with interpretation of technical manuals
• Developing and facilitating training sessions
• Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions through the utilisation of computer technology used for communication, data gathering and reporting – internally and externally

NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Computer Science or Information TechnologyNQF 4: Grade 12 National DiplomaAdditional Education -Preferred /Advantage
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
OR
If only Grade 12, a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience
Certifications
Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM)Preferred/Advantageous Certifications:Microsoft Azure Security EngineerProfessional Memberships in Relevant Industry
