General Summary

Evaluates the effectiveness of internal cybersecurity controls, business processes, and technology platforms to ensure system and data integrity. Analyzes data from cybersecurity tools to mitigate risks and responds to application-level, host-level, and network-level cybersecurity incidents. Assesses systems and networks for policy compliance and evaluates defense strategies against vulnerabilities. Advises supervisors and managers on actions to be taken and precautions to be implemented. Reviews vendor software, networking plans, and leads IT efforts in developing secure software and system network strategies to support security analysis and audit compliance. Utilizes current countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications

1. a. Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. b. Have at least two (2) years full time experience in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity Analyst, IT Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or Vulnerability Analyst, or Security Auditing; OR 2. a. Possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.b. Have had at least four (4) years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity Analyst, IT Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or Vulnerability Analyst, or Security Auditing; OR 3. a. Be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test. b. Have had at least six (6) years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity Analyst, IT Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or Vulnerability Analyst, or Security Auditing.

Pay Range

USD $89,585.00 - USD $120,026.00 /Yr.
