Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering the production network and security infrastructure. This role ensures high levels of network availability, security, and efficiency. As the technical resource for network production operations support and relevant projects, the Network and Security Lead is crucial in safeguarding the company's digital assets and ensuring seamless network operations.

Essential Functions

  • Designs and reviews the network security posture to ensure robust protection against threats.
  • Maintains comprehensive technical and process documentation to support network security operations.
  • Conducts peer reviews of changes to the network security infrastructure to ensure the best practices are followed.
  • Directs managed service providers in implementing network security changes.
  • Assists in planning for future growth and troubleshooting to ensure the network infrastructure can scale with the company's needs.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of network and security experience, focusing on secure networks.
  • Extensive experience with security frameworks, protocols and technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing zero-trust network access (ZTNA).
  • Experience with Azure networking, including Microsoft VWAN and VHUB deployments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure as code (IaC) and DevOps pipelines.
  • Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record required. 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies (e.g., encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
  • Proven experience with performance optimization, scalability, and high-availability solutions.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations relevant to PCI-DSS or GDPR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement complex solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of successful project execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments at once, multi-task across projects, and effectively prioritize each.
  • Highly focused on process development and adherence.
  • Ability to see potential issues and risks before they snowball and implement an appropriate mitigation plan.
  • Detailed knowledge of O365 capabilities and configuration.
  • In-depth knowledge of server and PC hardware.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations.

  • The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) required.
  • Equipment used to perform the essential function of this position includes, but is not limited to computer, fax, copier, merchant terminal, multi-line phone system, personal or Company owned vehicle.
  • Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift to 25 pounds. 
  • Employee may be required to drive a vehicle while on Company business, maintain a good driving record and be insurable under Company vehicle insurance. 
  • This position may also require reaching, pushing, and pulling. 
  • This position may also be exposed to chemicals and/ or blood borne pathogens.  Exposure risk is considered:  Low 

 

Travel

  • This position may require up to 10 percent out of area and overnight travel.
