The Sr. Manager, Network Services will lead and oversee the planning, design, implementation, and operation of the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure its reliability, security, and scalability. This position will be responsible for managing the network infrastructure, including voice systems, for Concentra’s 550 medical centers, administrative and corporate offices in the United States, ensuring seamless connectivity and robust performance to support critical healthcare operations. The role involves managing a team of network engineers and administrators, coordinating with other IT and business teams, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance network performance and align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Network Services team.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for network architecture and operations to meet business requirements.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics to ensure the team's success.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity.
- Ensure high availability and performance of network services through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and issue resolution.
- Manage network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, in collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI).
- Lead network infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
- Support the existing Cisco and Avaya phone systems.
- Build future state strategy for phone and voice systems and execute toward the target.
- Develop budgets, timelines, and resource plans for network initiatives.
- Ensure project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage relationships with network service providers and technology vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and evaluate vendor performance.
- Develop and manage the Network Services budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; Major: Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable.
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with large heterogenous enterprise environments
- Proven experience working with and managing relationships with network management vendors, including evaluating solutions and overseeing vendor performance.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) from vendors like Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto.
- Proficiency in cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with SD-WAN and network automation tools.
- Strong understanding of network security best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Experience with Healthcare preferred
