Under the guidance of WES Lead, the Assistant Manager - Security oversee asset protection, protection of people and staff to safeguard against theft /inventory loss and safety of employees, at EY GDS premises. The Assistant Manager-Security will continually monitor the facility for compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations. The position coordinates efforts with outsourced security company personnel as well as law enforcement representatives, to ensures safe occupancy of the premise. The position is responsible to develop and implement security standards and ensure that they are followed strictly at EY premises by EY employees and the security service provider staff on site. Daily duties of the Assistant Manager – Security, entail managing on the ground operations/ transactions, dealing with details, all of which affect the physical premises and the security of people performing business activities.

Your key responsibilities
►    Responsible to Implement and monitor security standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with EY GDS standards. 
►    Establish and implement access policies for employees, critical rooms, contractors, and visitors. Identify & report security breaches, respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, and intrusion alarms following emergency response protocols.
►     Safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property by planning, directing, and coordinating security activities.
►    Review and track policies  to address workplace harassment, threats, or violence.
►    Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and other public agencies on security operations.
►    Train security and organization members on security rules and procedures.
►    Conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential consequences of incidents and develop incident response plans and participate in investigations. 
►    Implements Work Permit System (WPS) for high-risk activities such as electrical works, mechanical works, working at height, hot works and confined spaces. Implements Work Stoppage Order (WSO) in situations where imminent danger is presented
►    Manage onsite emergency situations, execute contingency plans, and communicate security status and updates
►    Participate in threat or vulnerability analyses to determine probable frequency, criticality, consequence, or severity of natural or man-made disasters or criminal activity on the organization's profitability or delivery of products or services.
►    Supervise security staff, including background investigations, training, task assignments, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
►    Prepare budgets, manage operational spend, and ensure cost efficient security operations
►    Implement integrated security controls to ensure confidentiality, accountability, recoverability, or audit ability of sensitive information, proprietary information, or information technology resources.
►    Monitor security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements, policies, and directives.
►    Review physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
►    Review security data analytics to determine security needs, security program goals, or program accomplishments
►    Coordinate security operations or activities with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies
►    Manage investigation programs, including video and evidence collection and preservation of video and notes of surveillance processes or investigative interviews
►    Perform executive protection activities to reduce security risks.
►    Plan security for special and high-risk events and support efforts to mitigate illegal workplace activities.
►    Implement and ensure strict compliance of security procedures for control room operations, surveillance systems, incident management, and asset protection.
►    Prepare reports or presentations on investigations, losses, and compliance violations.
►    Stay updated on  legislative changes and new technologies affecting security operations by attending relevant meetings, seminars and conferences.

Skills and attributes for success
►    Excellence customer relationship management skills

►    Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Should pay attention to detail 

►    Proven experience as Assistant Manager Security, or similar position
►    Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV, Access Control)
►    Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
►    Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
►    Working knowledge of MS Office
►    Good communication and interpersonal skills
►    Good organizational skills
►    Certification in DOLE SO3, ISO 45001, & ISO 27001
►    Certification in Disaster Management & Fire fighting
►    Certification in Industrial Security Management     
►    Active Member of ASIS International / Certified Security Professional (CSP) Philippines.

To qualify for the role, you must have
►    8-10 years of experience as a subject matter expert, with minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing security operations orservice delivery, in comparable organizations.
►    Bachelor’s degree in Business, or equivalent professional level experience
