Job Description:

 

A Forensics Technology Senior Associate / Assistant Manager is responsible for leveraging technology and data analytic tools to assist in forensic investigations and litigation support. This role requires a combination of investigative, technological, and legal skills to uncovering digital evidence.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize digital forensics tools and investigative methods to find specific electronic data, including internet use history, word processing documents, images, and other files.
  2. Gather and document electronic evidence to be used in legal proceedings.
  3. Collaborate with team members on cyber-crime and digital forensics investigations.
  4. Maintain knowledge of forensics technology and software solutions.
  5. Enhance existing forensics practices and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Work on complex data analysis to support forensic accounting investigations.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with multi-disciplinary teams to provide top-end solutions during investigations.
  8. Supporting the leadership team and the project manager on the operational level and acting as a role model for more junior team members.

 

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Forensic Accountancy or related field is required.
  2. Approximately 2-3 years of experience in digital forensics, eDiscovery, cyber investigations or a related field
  3. Certifications such as Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) or Certified EnCase Forensic Examiner (EnCE) are preferred.
  4. Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, databases, and mobile technologies.
  5. Understanding of cyber-crime and laws related to digital forensic evidence.
  6. Experience with Relativity and / or NUIX will be beneficial.
  7. Experience with forensic software applications and tools (e.g., Encase, FTK, Magnet Axiom) is beneficial
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in explaining technical matters to non-technical audiences
