Position Overview:

The Pernod Ricard North America (PR NA) Corporate Security position is responsible for leading the PR NA development and implementation of security strategies and programs to safeguard the organization's employees, assets, and facilities. This role involves assessing security risks, coordinating security measures, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position collaborates with the Pernod Ricard Global Security team and with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to create a safe and secure environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Strategy Development: In partnership with PR Global Security, develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify potential security risks, vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Security Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Regularly review and update security protocols to address emerging threats and technologies. 
  • Steering and Coordination: Drives and evaluates performance in the areas of safety. Implements and feeds the established Pernod Ricard Global KPIs and security reporting tools.
  • Physical Security: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of physical security measures, including access control systems, surveillance systems, alarm systems, and security guards. Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of security measures.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential security threats. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and ensure appropriate security controls are in place.
  • Incident Response and Crisis Management: Develop and coordinate incident response plans to effectively respond to security incidents, emergencies, and crises. Lead investigations into security breaches and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents. Participate in PRNA Crisis Committee.
  • Security Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver PR Global security training programs to educate employees on security protocols, active shooter, emergency procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external security vendors and contractors, including security service providers, technology suppliers, and consultants. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Stay informed about relevant security regulations and industry best practices. Ensure the organization's security practices comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Security Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the security budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support security initiatives. Identify cost-effective solutions and make recommendations for security investments.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as senior management, Site Leaders, human resources, legal, and IT departments, to align security initiatives with organizational objectives. Liaise with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and industry associations, to exchange information and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in security management, criminal justice, business administration or similar field. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Proven experience, 10+ years, in corporate security management, preferably in a large organization or multinational company.  Experience in law-enforcement agency a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies, including physical security, access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response planning.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to corporate security.
  • Strong ability to manage projects and to develop policies and guidelines, based on group policies and adapted to the local context and constraints 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage and drive change.
  • Ability to influence and manage security teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Experience in conducting security audits and investigations.
  • Certification in relevant security disciplines (e.g., Certified Protection Professional, Physical Security Professional) is advantageous.
