Responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) databases and associated EAM Web and Advanced Report servers. The System Administrator will be involved in the software upgrade, backup operations, and of databases, as well ensuring all cybersecurity and DoD compliance requirements are met.
What You Will Do:
·This position involves ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and supporting the operations and maintenance of the Relocatable Over-the-Horizon Radar system (ROTHR) with database-related tasks.
·Responsible for supporting GCCS-J day-to-day operational readiness.
Configure, manage and maintain the operation of complex relational databases across various operating systems
Implement and manage data security protocols, including access controls and encryption with Active Directory account management and two-factor authentication implementation
Create and manage DB schema objects including tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and triggers
Collaborate with ISSO and system administrators to integrate new features and resolve vulnerability issues
Perform DB tuning, coordinate application releases, and troubleshoot DB issues including slowness and latencies
Patching the DB and applying any relevant product updates
Perform upgrades of the DB and software to new release levels and handle database migrations
Implement database high availability solutions and multiple types of replications to include query construction
Work with team members to ensure technology is effectively supporting the enterprise
Maintain comprehensive DB documentation, including data standards, procedures, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists and preform SCAP scans monthly
Support multiple system accreditation DB efforts (e.g., site or enclave ATO requirements)
To provide backup support to SIPRNet Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems Administrator for day-to-day Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) maintenance and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) servers maintenance
Qualifications You Must Have:
DoD 8570 Workforce IAT Level II compliance - CompTIA Security+
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or a related field of study with 5 years of applicable experience or 13 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree
3-5 years of relevant experience in database administration
Experience installing and operating MS SQL Server and/or Cloud environment
Experience operating Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server and services 3+ years’ experience
Experience with refactoring old database systems
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance and to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Linux + Certification
Familiarity with GCCS-J, Agile Client, and End Point Security
Experience with VMware Servers and virtual machine
Understand ACAS scanning requirements
Experience with STIGs, SCAP requirements
Experience installing, configuring, hardening, and maintaining Window servers, performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and COTS applications.
Knowledge of Service Management disciplines engagement, design, delivery and maintenance lifecycles in a high technology or IT services domain.
Ability to work with limited supervision. Must be a self-starter with initiative
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems
Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi-tasked environment
