Your Mission:
As a Cyber Network Operations (CNO) Engineer III at ClearEdge, you will lead the development, execution, and enhancement of advanced cyber network operations. You will work at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create offensive and defensive strategies, conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments, and deliver impactful solutions. Your deep expertise in network protocol manipulation, exploit development, and emerging threats will be key to advancing ClearEdge’s operational success.

A Day in the Life:

  • Design and execute advanced network operations to assess and exploit vulnerabilities in critical systems.
  • Research and develop new attack techniques, tools, and capabilities.
  • Lead red team exercises and network penetration tests to evaluate and improve security posture.
  • Work with developers to enhance tradecraft and build innovative solutions for network exploitation.
  • Analyze emerging threats, identify novel attack vectors, and adapt to evolving cybersecurity challenges.
  • Document findings in detailed reports and present insights to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering professional growth.

Must Have:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
  • 20+ years of experience in software analysis, exploit development, or related cybersecurity fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced knowledge of malware techniques (e.g., rootkits, code injection, privilege escalation).
  • In-depth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security protocols.
  • Expertise with advanced penetration testing tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit, and Nessus.
  • Strong proficiency in network exploitation, packet analysis, and traffic interception tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), including internals and kernel-level security.
  • Experience with virtualization tools and sandbox environments (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Expertise in low-level programming languages (C/C++, Assembly).
  • Hands-on experience with reverse engineering and debugging tools.
  • Understanding of how malware uses protocols for command-and-control (C2) communication.
  • Certifications such as OSCP, GREM, CEH, or similar.
