Your Mission:
As a Cyber Network Operations (CNO) Engineer at ClearEdge, you will be an integral part of our team, designing and executing cyber network operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop offensive and defensive strategies, perform network exploitation, and conduct advanced penetration tests. This role requires a deep understanding of offensive cybersecurity operations, network protocol manipulation, and technical expertise in cybersecurity tools and techniques.

  • Able to work collaboratively in a team, mentoring junior staff members while also leading projects.

A Day in the Life:

  • Conduct advanced network operations to identify vulnerabilities, assess security posture, and exploit weaknesses in internal and external networks.
  • Design and implement custom offensive tools for penetration testing and red team operations.
  • Collaborate with developers to build and maintain new capabilities and tradecraft.
  • Stay on top of emerging threats, attack vectors, and evolving CNO tools.
  • Document technical findings and produce detailed reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and best practices in offensive cybersecurity.

Must Have:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in software analysis, exploit development, or a related cybersecurity field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and network security.
  • Proficiency with advanced penetration testing tools (Kali Linux, Nmap, Nessus, etc.).
  • Strong experience with network exploitation and traffic interception tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, Metasploit).
  • Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and system internals.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of low-level programming languages (C/C++, Assembly).
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering tools and malware analysis techniques.
  • Certifications such as OSCP, GREM, or CEH.
  • Experience with exploit development and vulnerability research.
  • Knowledge of obfuscation techniques and anti-reverse engineering practices.
