Job Description

Primary Purpose:

As a Risk Specialist in the Delivery, Technology and Data (DTD) team, you will support the risk team in redeveloping the controls library, implementing CPS 230 and Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) assurance models, and providing capacity relief during periods of leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Refactor and expand the existing controls library, aligning to a new controls framework and working with business/technical owners.
  2. Perform controls testing to ascertain overall effectiveness and maintain the revised control library in the GRC tool.
  3. Leveraging the enterprise approach, establish and execute a sub-assurance methodology for DTD covering our two critical operations under CPS 230, including supply chain risk assessment.
  4. Leveraging the enterprise approach, establish and execute a sub-assurance methodology for DTD covering our Accountability Statements under the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR)
  5. Provide risk and compliance support to the Data and Insights business unit during periods of leave, ensuring continuity of risk management activities.
  6. Promote a risk and compliance culture across the organisation, setting guidelines and policies where relevant.
  7. Partner with business units to embed risk management monitoring and control, conducting regular reviews on risk evaluation and compliance.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Significant experience in risk management practices, including leading risk assessments, designing and testing controls, and supporting compliance management
  • Strong understanding of key legislation, regulatory standards, and instruments in the financial services sector (Superannuation experience desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to recognise early warning signs of distress in risk profiles and develop strategies to mitigate identified risk exposures
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand complex concepts and communicate technical information in simple business terms
  • Exceptional relationship building skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, requiring high attention to detail and accuracy
