Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Controls Testing Manager, you will develop and deliver Experian PLCs operational control testing and develop the approach and transition to continuous assurance.  The scope of this role excludes Information Security and testing against regional compliance requirements but you will collaborate with teams who conduct this testing.

 

Why this role is important to us

Experian has an ambition to transition to a continuous assurance model to promote efficient and timely assurance of our most important operational controls.  In this capacity you will manage the development and oversight methodology, design and execution of continuous assurance and support of other 2LOD testing teams to adopt and meet this framework for their areas of oversight. 

This is a hybrid role based in Nottingham or London office.

 

Work that matters - What you’ll be doing

  • Together with the operational risk assessment processes, including Principal Risk Assessments, you'll promote the identification and prioritisation of testing activities as part of the assurance planning process. 
  • Execute control tests including coordinating the testing process with key stakeholders, managing the activities of control testing team (local and overseas), reviewing the quality of work performed and ensuring timely delivery of the annual plan.
  • Lead the delivery of continuous assurance execution to ensure efficient, automated and accurate control testing outcomes for the in scope control goals and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the assurance methodology and coordinated assurance reporting along with delivery tracking activities.

 

 

Qualifications

What you’ll need to bring to the role & Experian

  • Professional finance, accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) or IT audit (CISA, CISSP, CISM, QiCA or equivalent)  
  • An background in either an audit background (be that external and/or internal audit) and/or corporate experience, in an assurance, internal controls or risk team in a multinational organisation.
  • Experience implementing data analytics lead testing approaches, and automating testing processes.  
  • An understanding of IT systems and operation, including experience in testing ITGC and IT Application controls under SOX or equivalent frameworks.
