Job Description

The Internal IT Auditor role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic audit professional to deepen their expertise in technology and audit for business operations, within a fast-paced global agri-business. As part of the Internal Audit team, this position provides multiple avenues for professional growth.

The person will be required to evaluate critical business systems, ITGC / application / cybersecurity controls, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and identify process improvement opportunities. The person will be required to work very closely with the senior IT auditor. Collaboration with other operational / financial & other SME auditors will be essential part of his role.

Key Deliverables

• Reporting and Collaboration:
  • Report to the Head of Internal Audit as part of the Global Internal Audit team.
  • Collaborate with the IT Audit team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Technology and Risk Assessment:
  • Analyse and assess the security environment and application of information technology systems.
  • Develop strategies to enhance system reliability, security, and integrity.
  • Evaluate overall setups, identify risks, and assess controls (business process, application, and IT) against international and industry standards.
• Audit Execution:
  • Perform detailed reviews and investigations leveraging strong technical knowledge of IT systems.
  • Understand various business models and identify key value drivers.
  • Execute financial statement analysis, cash flow reviews, and other financial assessments.
• Control Improvement and Advisory:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance key controls across business and technology processes.
  • Act as a trusted risk advisor on control-related matters to stakeholders at various levels.
• Reporting and Recommendations:
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, control issues, and corrective action plans for management.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, thematic reviews, or special independent investigations as required.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with management and stakeholders.
  • Travel to company locations as required to perform audit tasks and build stakeholder rapport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems or computer science is mandatory.
• Additional qualifications in finance, such as CA / CA Inter or a degree in finance, are good to have but not mandatory.
• 8-10 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 3 years in IT audit is mandatory.
• Attained or actively pursuing professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or PCI DSS.
• Proficiency in SAP review (SD, MM, FI, Basis). SAP implementation & support experience will be of added advantage.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and teamwork capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Business understanding (including trading) is essential for performing the role.

Requirements

• Project Management: Successfully managed and coordinated multiple projects, including organizing reservations for large groups and ensuring smooth event planning.
• Communication Skills: Effective communicator, regularly liaising with colleagues, external partners, and management to ensure clarity and efficiency.
• Team Collaboration: Demonstrated excellent teamwork abilities, ensuring all team members are informed and aligned.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in tasks such as confirming bookings and managing critical details.
• Experience in Specific Audits: Skilled in IT General Controls (ITGC), IT Application Controls (ITAC), and cybersecurity audits, particularly in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Data Analytics and Automation: Proficient in leveraging tools like Excel, PowerBI, or Snowflake to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge: Familiar with frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, with experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and incident response audits. Know how to use Kali Linux / any Linux distributions would be good.
• Agri-Business Knowledge: Knowledge of systems supporting agri-business, including commodity trading platforms, supply chain management, or logistics systems, is a strong advantage.
