Principal Information Security Operation Engineer (Cloud)

Amadeus Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) is seeking a highly skilled Principal Security Operations Engineer to design, deploy, maintain and drive azure cloud infrastructure practice for its security applications.

You will directly work within the GSOC (120 + people) helping deploy and manage complex and innovative tools (SIEM, SOAR, IRP, XTM, etc.) that deliver cybersecurity services for the company. To succeed in this role, you will need to be an expert in IT but also have strong knowledge of the cybersecurity that is bringing a unique blend of technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the infrastructure and network layers to assist GSOC application owners in the seamless deployment and configuration of their security applications. This includes provisioning workloads (VMs and/or containers), configuring and securing network access, and designing architectures for resilience and disaster recovery.

• Ensure that those tools are properly integrated with the Amadeus cloud infrastructure principles and standard (deployment as code, tagging, monitoring, etc).

• Work closely with application owners to automate the maintenance, updates, and scaling of their applications.

• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for cloud security operations at the GSOC level.


Skills

• Strong knowledge in Linux (especially RHEL distribution)

• Strong knowledge in networking principles (IP / Subnet calculations, DNS, load balancing, firewall, NSG and OVN)

• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Azure cloud platform

• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and CI/CD tools and principles like Git and Jenkins

• Familiarity with scripting language like Bash or Python

• Knowledge in K8S deployment and containers is a plus and will be appreciated (k8s / OpenShift ; containers principles; ArgoCD)

• Knowledge and experiences in a previous SOC / with cybersecurity tools are a strong plus (vulnerability scanners, IRP, SIEM, SOAR etc.)

• Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills with the ability to troubleshoot / design complex solutions
   

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

• +5-7 years of experience
