Information Security Specialist

As a senior Specialist, you will be a vital part of Adevinta's Information Security team. You'll manage proactive security programs, conduct in-depth technical assessments, lead strategic security planning sessions and leveraging threat intelligence to enhance our defensive capabilities.

You will be key in ensuring that Adevinta's security strategy covers industry-relevant security standards, leaving no gaps open to be exploited. Your team is part of the Information Security department, where you'll collaborate closely with other services such as Vulnerability Management Secure Product Lifecycle, Incident Response and Governance. You may also be called on to interact with application development teams to help them secure their assets.

What you will do:

• Ensuring the implementation of the vulnerability management governance (Policy, Guidance, Procedures and Standards).

• Initiating and managing relationships with the asset owners and stakeholders

• Creating and maintaining an inventory of the corporate assets

• Conducting risk assessments on the corporate assets and prioritises resources based on the risk assessment outcomes.

• Lead and organise threat modelling exercises to identify abuse cases and vulnerabilities with the corporate applications.

• Facilitate security testing of corporate applications.

• Provide security awareness and training for the corporate users 

• Conduct deep analysis of the reported vulnerabilities and propose solutions for improved security posture of Adevinta applications.  

• Lead activities related to all the lifecycle of the vulnerability management including:

  • Vulnerability identification 

  • Vulnerability prioritisation and validation

  • Vulnerability reporting

  • Vulnerability remediation monitoring and support

  • Vulnerability remediation verification   

Who you are:

• An experienced security specialist.

• Structured, analytical, autonomous and proactive persona:

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data into actionable insights.

• Experience with security frameworks and methodologies such as ENISA or NIST.

• You have a hacker mindset and a passion for security..

• You are familiar with programming languages used for automation such as Python or Go or keen to learn and gain experiences.

• You have a good understanding of Cloud technologies, Identity & Access Management and Network Security.

• You understand coding and development with modern tooling.

• You have excellent knowledge of security for networks, protocols, systems and applications.

• You are fluent in English (spoken and written).

• You have demonstrated an ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have:

• Public or private presentations.

• Open source contributor.

• Participated in conferences and training.

• Relevant Certifications such as CISSP.
