The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure systems and networks. The successful candidate will work closely with CACI's development and IT teams to integrate security best practices, identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You’ll contribute to strengthening the security posture of critical infrastructure and systems supporting CACI operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust security protocols to protect systems and data across diverse environments.
- Implement advanced monitoring tools to detect and respond to threats, enhancing overall system security.
- Provide security-focused insights and technical support for network and infrastructure architecture.
- Develop and maintain security protocols and guidelines for best practices across all systems.
- Research and implement the latest security technologies and practices to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Assist in incident response and remediation efforts by analyzing security breaches and applying corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Proficient in security toolsets, such as vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms.
- Experience with incident response, including identifying, analyzing, and responding to security breaches in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks, such as NIST, CIS, and DoD 8140, and ability to implement security controls in alignment with these standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, adapting to dynamic security challenges.
- Experience in hardening operating systems (Windows, Linux) and applications to align with best security practices and compliance requirements.
- Certifications: Security+; capable of performing at Information Assurance Technical Level II as per DoD 8140 guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree) and 3+ years of Information Assurance/Cybersecurity (IA/CS) experience.
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to start.
- Advanced certifications, such as CISSP, SecurityX, or Systems Security Certified Professional (SSCP).
- Experience with advanced penetration testing tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or Ansible, for secure infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Ruby, etc).

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
