Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level SharePoint Engineer to join our team. As part of a dynamic and mission-critical environment, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of SharePoint solutions for our new contract supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with SharePoint in a secure government environment, a solid understanding of DoD security protocols, and a strong commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

 

The AFLCMC is responsible for the total, integrated, life cycle management of Air Force (AF)-enterprise capabilities from inception to retirement. Its mission is to “Acquire and Support War-Winning Capabilities”, “providing what warfighters need, when they need it!”. Currently, AFLCMC oversees a diverse portfolio, including various weapon and combat support platforms, Presidential and Executive aircraft; Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) and Special Operations Forces (SOF); Foreign Military Support (FMS); Mobility and Training aircraft; Business Enterprise Systems (BES); and Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence & Networks (C3I&N).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient SharePoint solutions.
  • Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution for SharePoint environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and optimizations to SharePoint environments to ensure continued security and compliance with DoD standards.
  • Ensure adherence to DoD security protocols, best practices, and regulatory requirements in SharePoint configurations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for SharePoint systems and solutions.
  • Provide end-user support, including training and troubleshooting, for SharePoint users within the AFMC environment.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement security controls and monitoring in SharePoint environments.
  • Participate in system integration and testing efforts to ensure compliance with DoD standards and requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance (required).
  • CompTIA Security+ certification (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with SharePoint in a Department of Defense or similarly secured government environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint configuration, customization, and administration.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint permissions, security models, and governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online (Office 365) and hybrid configurations.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint-related issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, PowerShell scripting, and other SharePoint-related development tools.
  • Knowledge of additional security certifications or training (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
  • Experience with Azure AD, Microsoft 365, or other cloud-based platforms.
