THE OPPORTUNTY
The Data Privacy Manager will play a critical role in ensuring Takeda’s compliance with data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of data privacy principles and regulations, with experience in implementing and monitoring data protection processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Privacy Assessments
Perform or provide support in performing of Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA)
Conduct regular monitoring of data processing activities to ensure compliance with GDPR requirements, including design and oversight of data privacy internal controls.
Evaluate and track data processing operations to identify potential risks and ensure ongoing adherence to privacy regulations.
Data Subject Requests
Handle and prepare responses to data subject requests (DSRs) under GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure requests. Ensure timely responses while maintaining proper documentation of all requests and actions taken.
Privacy Incidents
Support the investigation of privacy incidents, identification of root causes, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Track mitigation efforts to ensure compliance and reduce the risk of future incidents.
Records of Processing Activities
Provide support in maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) within Takeda. Ensure comprehensive documentation of personal data processing including data categories, affected individuals, cross-border transfers, and processing purposes.
Deliver training programs to educate employees and business units on data privacy topics and requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Assist global data privacy counsels in implementing privacy strategies and policies when necessary.
Collaborate with business units to support the execution of data privacy activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
Provide support in conducting Balancing Tests and Tests of Proportionality to ensure data processing activities align with GDPR requirements, weighing legitimate interests against the rights of individuals and ensuring processing is necessary and proportionate.
Maintain Data Privacy SharePoint and use platforms such as One Trust
Support Takeda’s Digital Ethics and Compliance transition to a global organization with integrated Data Privacy as a Service within its processes. Ensure smooth implementation and ongoing updates to privacy-related resources and workflows.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, or a related field (compliance, information security, or data management)
Experience Requirements:
Minimal 3 years of experience in GDPR implementation or monitoring, or as a Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Skills:
Proficiency in data privacy principles, evaluating data protection processes from compliance and risk management point of view,
Understanding of mainly EU-related privacy laws (knowledge of US-related privacy laws is a plus), regulations, and industry standards, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
Proficiency in English (C1 level)

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 2800 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
