We are looking for a sharp and effective IT Compliance Project Manager with a passion for the constantly evolving world of technology, compliance, privacy, and security. The IT Compliance Project Manager, a part of the Digital Compliance team, is an integral part of the company’s Digital Governance and Compliance team and helps drive our market success by ensuring “compliance, privacy and security by design” is embedded within our digital products and processes.
The successful candidate will quickly learn how our products are architected, developed, used and most importantly, understand the data that flows through them. Equally important will be their ability to build relationships with colleagues who design, develop, support, and use these products. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance program projects are tightly managed to ensure deadlines are met and cross-functional buy-in to solutions is agreed upon.
The IT Compliance Project Manager works for Sr. Director Digital Compliance under the office of the Chief Operating & Delivery Officer, Korn Ferry Digital, and will lead the incorporation of the company’s responsibilities for handling personal data into the Digital team. This position will work closely with SMEs throughout the company and its lines of business to ensure that compliance with regulations and client’s contractual clauses are met.
To be successful in the role, the IT Compliance PM will require strong analytical, organizational, and consulting skills as well as strong knowledge of information security, audit, risk management, privacy, and other organizational compliance functions. They must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be measured in their approach.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to use project management tools and techniques to accomplish a major certification process for the firm (SOC2).
- Track the execution of remediation plans, ensuring that identified control gaps are addressed effectively and efficiently.
- Promote and integrate “Privacy and Security by Design” principles into all projects.
- Build and maintain tools that track progress of milestones and deliverables, provide status reporting to executive leadership and maintain issues/risk logs.
- Utilize audit and testing experience to facilitate internal and external assessments, ensuring compliance and security standards.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, privacy regulations, and emerging threats to proactively enhance our privacy and security practices.
- Work closely with the Privacy team to understand and implement key elements of Korn Ferry’s Privacy Program and ensure appropriate focus for the Digital team as it relates to changes in legislation, review of legal bases, sub processors, etc.
- Ensure that digital teams understand data privacy and security requirements created by contractual arrangements, country regulations, data transfers, data deletions, etc.
- Partner with the Corporate Technology functions on enterprise-wide compliance remediation initiatives.
- Work with Privacy and Security to identify and/or facilitate internal risk management reviews.
- Maintain comprehensive reporting that informs management of status of on-going privacy and security projects, deadlines and highlights risks and remediation progress.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a consulting, audit, or technology environment as a PM.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational and project management skills with the ability to work across multiple, complex projects.
- Ability to understand broader business issues, must have a high degree of business acumen.
- Ability to communicate and consult with senior management.
- Experience with identifying privacy and security risks and working with others to determine and plan remediations.
- Ability to collect and manage evidence repositories.
- Ability to influence understanding of internal subject matter experts and external auditors.
- Experience of working with development teams preferred.
- Working knowledge of these areas is highly desirable:
- Consulting practices
- Certifications such as PMP, CISA, CIA, preferred
- Familiarity with standards and compliance frameworks such as NIST and COBIT
- Privacy regulations, inclusive of GDPR
- Operational and strategic planning
- Knowledgeable of and interested in learning about new technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML)

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or Computer Science
