Your role

The candidate’s primarily role will consist of supporting the team with the planning of consulting mandates, completing and following up on mandates as well as  preparing reports supporting the results. The candidate should have a good understanding of operational and financial processes and its related controls including IT controls (an asset). The individual will be highly analytical, technically competent, capable of responding independently to demanding challenges and able to work in a team environment.

This is a consultant role with a focus on the delivery of mandates. Although Richter mandates are primarily carried out within the city of Montreal, some travelling outside of Montreal may be required. Richter mandates include:

  • Business and financial process reviews,
  • 52-109 and SOX process optimization and compliance mandates,
  • Fraud prevention mandates,
  • Enterprise Risk Management and governance mandates,
  • Internal audit consulting mandates.

Your qualifications

The candidate must possess 3 to 5 years progressive accounting, audit and risk management experience, with an emphasis on assessing internal controls, systems and interacting with management and client resources (public company experience is a plus). The candidate will demonstrate competence in risk assessment, client relationship management, and strategic thinking. In addition, consultative skills and analytical mindset, combined with utmost integrity, are prerequisites for this position. Other attributes include:

  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) an asset,
  • Other relevant designation an asset (CIA, CFE, PMP, CISSP),
  • Team spirit, with a focus on information-sharing and quality,
  • Ability to quickly develop good interpersonal relationships as well as persuasiveness and diplomacy,
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office including PowerPoint,
  • Good knowledge of project management tools,
  • Good knowledge of different computing environments and financial applications an asset,
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (ACL and IDEA) an asset.
