.NET Developer (Security Analysis)

Job Description

Location: Durbanville, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:

Development:

• Assist with Development new processes and applications as needed
• Development using C# and Microsoft .NET Core and various system APIs
• Performing unit tests
• Participating in analysis, design, and coordination with other team members
• Creation of bug reports
• Utilize .Net C# to build and maintain backend system components
• Utilize JavaScript / TypeScript to build and maintain frontend system components

Security Analysis:

• Monitoring Network traffic
• Mitigating risks
• Putting prevention systems in place
• Investigating unusual network activities
• Penetration testing
• Responding to security incidents

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• 2- 3 Years working experience
• Experience with MVC architecture, Entity Framework (EF Core)
• Experience with JavaScript & HTML & CSS
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience with Frontend and Cross Platform Frameworks (Angular, MAUI preferred)
• +/- 2- 3 Years working experience with C# /ASP.Net /MySQL /SQL /REST API’s /HTML /JS/ TS
• Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences, or IT Engineering Degree.
• General knowledge of cyber security
• Understanding of networks, systems, and software
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Scripting
• Awareness of controls and frameworks best practices
• Insight into threat detection and incident response
• Network architecture
• Keep Updated on the latest security trend
• Keep updated on the security solution
• Understand cyber-attacks & detection mechanism
• Monitor security alert on the SIEM/XDR security tool
• Perform analysis through enrich & triage to the alerts/threats detected
• Manager tickets based on the threat detected in the environment
• Know basic networks
• Know about basic security & response
• Know about IS vulnerability management
• Have certifications CESA, Security+, CCNA
