Ferrovial’s Technology Corporate Area is expanding its team, with this position based in Austin, USA. The role focuses on shaping and safeguarding best practices and policies to improve control, industrialization, scalability, maintainability, and alignment with Ferrovial’s standards.
Job Description:
The DevSecOps and Azure DevOps Specialist will enhance Ferrovial's control and knowledge over software development and deployment processes by providing strategic influence and definitions.
This role establishes Ferrovial's best practices and ensures software development providers alignment and compliance by creating models and frameworks. It involves automating and implementing platforms to improve quality and monitoring of CI/CD pipelines and the SDLC.
Responsibilities include overseeing and standardizing these practices by developing, maintaining, and improving templates and decorators within Azure DevOps. This involves collaborating with the Cybersecurity team (DevSecOps and S-SDLC) to enhance and verify secure practices.
Additionally, responsibilities include developing a roadmap and innovating in solutions such as platform engineering or utilizing artificial intelligence to monitor CI/CD processes and development activities.
This role involves deciding on components, technology stack, and policies for our CI/CD platform, including code repositories, pipelines tooling, artifact repositories, software supply chain, security analysis, and quality assurance.
You will be part of the Technical Office (TO), working alongside members specializing in Cybersecurity, Cloud, Architecture, and Data. This role requires general knowledge of these other areas to collaborate effectively and contribute to the creation of a comprehensive Ferrovial framework. Together as one team, you will maintain control over the CTS digital assets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Management of the area’s initiatives and projects
- Analysis and auditing of repositories and pipelines

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer: YAML, templates, decorators, scripting
- Preferably experience on Azure DevOps including repos, pipelines, artifacts, agent pools and devops platform environment.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Experienced and well-versed in SDLC practices.
- Basic knowledge of cloud services, particularly Azure and its ecosystems,
Valuable experience in:
- Preferably holds Azure Devops Certificat ions.
- Containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, HELM.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Programming practices: Containerization. Experience in Java and Spring Boot is valued.
- Experience with Static Analysis tooling and code quality (currently Kiuwan): create projects, remediation plans, analysis, report, etc. …
- Experience with Grafana is appreciated but not required: creating dashboards, querying in KQL (AppInsight), and querying other APIs using JSONPath/JSONata.
