Overview

The Information/Cyber Security area is responsible for managing the development, deployment and execution of controls and defenses to ensure the security, compliance and risk mitigation of the firm's technology infrastructure/data assets and effectively respond to incidents or breaches of information security operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security measures focusing on endpoints to protect networks, systems, applications, and data from internal and external threats.
• Monitor security systems and perform regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in infrastructure.

Respond to security incidents, investigate, and resolve any threats or breaches in a timely and efficient manner.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on applications, systems, and networks to identify potential weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Perform risk analysis and threat modeling to understand potential impacts on the organization’s digital assets.
• Manage security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, SIEM, etc.) to enhance security posture.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all stages of product development and system architecture.
• Provide security training and awareness to staff to ensure they understand security risks and safe practices.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends, security threats, and technology innovations to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of security principles and best practices
• Ability to work autonomously, in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to be highly flexible/available to work outside standard office hours during security incidents
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and resolving security management threats, particularly following the implementation of new systems or changes in technology.
• Security risk management experience
• Familiarity and understanding of security industry regulations and standards (PCI-DSS, ISO27001, CIS, The IT Act, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and conducting presentations to senior management and employees
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to:
  • Prepare and present technical topics to small to large audiences;
  • Explain complex topics in a form suitable for technical and non-technical audiences;
• Strong data analytics skills
• Effective relationship building skills, with strong collaborative working skills;
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines;
