Sentar is seeking a Team Lead Firewall Administrator!

Locations this position could sit: Richmond, VA; Ft. Belvoir, VA; Philadelphia, PA; New Cumberland, PA; Battle Creek MI; Dayton, OH; and Columbus, OH

Role Description:

Assist DLA Enterprise Network Micro-Segmentation Software Application Solution Support in providing Technology Foundation Services, Data Center Services with the resources to design, plan, test, implement, and sustain an Enterprise COTS network micro-segmentation software application solution across physical and cloud environments. The Team Lead shall be able to provide overall supervision for vendor employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the project professionally, ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided. Has the authority to resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operation performance taking direction from the government to ensure complete satisfaction. Works under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion. Develops required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems. Coordinates with the Vendor PM, PMO, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

Qualifications:

Clearance: Minimum Secret

Education: N/A

Certification:

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or IAT III (Sec+ CASP+, CISM, CISSP).
  • Computing Environment: A Firewall Certification such as Palo Alto, Check Point (CCSA, CCSE), Cisco, or similar.

Experience:

  1. Strong background in network troubleshooting, security policy formulation, and firewall configuration.
  2. Working knowledge of host-based Firewall.
  3. Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software.
  4. Working knowledge of Cybersecurity Best Practices.
  5. Experience performing firewall software and hardware upgrade.
  6. Experience building/configure new firewalls.
  7. In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations and moderate knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  8. Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.
  9. Experience in processing and documenting trouble tickets from support teams and coordinating with technicians to resolve work order requests.
  10. Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of host-based firewalls, to include but not limited to the management server and other product related items.
  11. Expertise in managing firewall rule bases in compliance with Cyber Security requirements ensuring the hardening of networks, and aligning with Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) standards.
