The Role:
The Information Security Operations Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s information systems by ensuring data availability, authentication, confidentiality, and access controls. This role includes monitoring security measures, managing security tools (such as firewalls, antivirus software, and SIEM systems), and responding to security incidents. The analyst will also support Identity and Access Management (IAM) by maintaining user access controls, enforcing least privilege principles, and assisting with authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management. Working closely with security teams, this position will enhance identity governance, privileged access management, and compliance with security regulations.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources, including security information and event management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus systems.
- Managing identity lifecycles (provisioning, deprovisioning, role-based access control).
- Work with different stakeholders to guide them using security methodologies and best practices.
- Detecting and mitigating identity-based threats.
- Ensuring compliance with IAM policies and regulatory requirements.
- Implements information security improvements by assessing current situations; evaluating trends; anticipating future requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Assists in compliance-related activities associated with relevant organizational compliance requirements.
- Assist the stakeholders in identifying and evaluating technical and operational security risks, threats, weaknesses and vulnerabilities associated with the client's information systems.
- Actively participate in the incident response process, collaborating with different teams to mitigate and resolve security incidents.
- Assist in the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities through regular security assessments.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field.
- Working knowledge of secure cloud configurations.
- Understanding of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and SIEM systems.
- Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks and best practices.
- Experience working in a highly secure environment.
- Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relation.
- Able to use sound judgment, work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes.
