Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit an IT & Cyber Security Senior Analyst for the IT Systems, Infrastructure & Security team in our Marousi premises
As an IT & Cyber Security Senior Analyst, the ideal candidate will ensure the secure operation of the in-house computer systems, servers, and network connections and the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the IT infrastructure and intellectual property. He/She will also monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber incidents within information systems and networks under limited supervision; will recommend and oversee the documentation, implementation and execution of the IT policies according to needs and industry best practices. He/She will also ensure the execution of security inspections of the networks, servers, and end user accounts and devices to verify program compliance; will analyze and help resolve newly discovered security vulnerabilities and/or breache in a timely and accurate fashion and conducts user activity audits where required.

What you will do:
- Design, implement, and monitor security measures to safeguard the organization’s data, systems, applications, and networks
- Deploy, manage, and optimize cybersecurity solutions with a focus on detection and response capabilities
- Maintain security monitoring mechanisms, analyze and respond to security alerts and incidents escalated by the SOC
- Mitigate and resolve security incidents affecting critical systems and other support infrastructure
- Conduct investigations into security incidents and perform evidence gathering
- Develop and maintain security playbooks and incident response plans; coordinate and execute incident response exercises
- Perform threat and vulnerability analysis, assessment, and management activities
- Evaluate and apply mitigation strategies based on security testing results
- Detect, analyze, and respond to previously unidentified threats, abnormal activities, and hardware/software vulnerabilities
- Investigate, document, and report on security issues and monitor emerging trends
- Handle daily administrative tasks, generate reports, and communicate with relevant departments within the Technology group
- Download and test new security software and/or technologies
- Provide on-call security support to technical staff
- Provide security guidance to members of the technology team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related qualification related to the fields of information security and information technology
- CISSP Certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), OSCP Certification (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity solutions such as SIEM, EDR, DLP and digital forensic tools Scripting and programming skills
- Experience in deploying and operating vulnerability scanning infrastructure and services and network penetration testing
- Experience in maintenance for tools used for conduction vulnerability scanning and application security testing
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Security Tools and Framework
- At least 5 years of experience in a Cybersecurity role as a Vulnerability Assessment Engineer, Security Operations Analyst Lvl2-3, Cybersecurity Systems Engineer, Cybersecurity Malware analyst or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
Job-Specific Skills:
- Strong knowledge of industry standards regarding vulnerability management including Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) and Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)
- Hands-on experience of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices
- Technical knowledge of current systems software, security and network protocols, and standards
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong teamwork skills with ability to take charge of their area of expertise
- Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using manual testing techniques, scripts, commercial and open-source tools
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge with prioritizing remediation activities with operational teams through risk ratings of vulnerabilities and assets
- Ability to read, write and modify scripts for automation of vulnerability management tasks
- Ability to use logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches
- Ability to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
