About the Team

The Compliance Programme, Policy and Awareness (PPA) team is responsible for delivering robust Compliance Risk frameworks at Swiss Re. We develop and maintain appropriate policies and solutions and build the training and awareness programmes that educate employees on their responsibilities and behaviours in identifying and managing Compliance Risks. We are a diverse team based in Zurich, Bratislava and London.

 

About the Role

You will be responsible for the Compliance function`s Regulatory Monitoring Framework which addresses requirements across key compliance risks and records management. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • manage and continuously improve the Compliance Regulatory Monitoring Framework to ensure it remains sturdy and adequate;
  • monitor the global regulatory landscape to identify and triage in-scope regulations and regulatory changes;
  • oversee quality assurance of regulatory monitoring assessments to ensure consistency across the Compliance function;
  • provide management information on regulatory monitoring activities across the Compliance function to the Compliance Leadership Team;
  • maintain a successful commercial relationship with external vendors; and
  • work closely with key stakeholders primarily within the Compliance function, but also across core functions.

  

About You

You are an experienced Legal, Compliance or Regulatory Risk professional with direct experience in carrying out regulatory monitoring activities. You believe in leadership from every seat and will be able to demonstrate that in your day-to-day endeavors. Attention to detail is key, and your ability to prioritise tasks and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels is critical to success in this role.

 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in regulatory compliance or a related field such as risk management, legal or regulatory affairs.
  • Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory monitoring processes, software and tools.
  • University degree or equivalent qualification, law preferred.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with an ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 2900 EUR and 4900 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
