Cloud Security Expert

Allianz is looking for a Cloud Security Expert to join our team and help protect our cloud-based workloads from security threats. In this role, you’ll design and implement detection mechanisms, drive response procedures, and collaborate with teams to ensure the security of our cloud environment, particularly in AWS and Azure. You’ll also play a key part in enhancing security measures, automating processes, and supporting critical security incidents.

What will make you succeed in this position?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• In-depth understanding of cloud technology and attacker techniques specific to AWS and Azure
• Proficient in security best practices for AWS and Azure
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies and tools such as GitHub Advanced Security, Jenkins, and Terraform, for seamless integration of security into the development lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in distributed teams and large corporations, fostering a cooperative and supportive atmosphere
• Strong communication skills to simplify, and summarize complex information

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and mindset.

Your mission in the role will be:

• Proactively suggesting detection mechanisms and security controls for the cloud
• Supporting the product owner in designing, prioritizing and implementing a product vision and roadmap aligning with company objectives and security trends
• Presenting cloud security risks and attack techniques to technical and non-technical and groups and stakeholders
• Implementing and maintaining detection mechanism within our security tools (SIEM, SOAR, CSPM)
• Driving the design of response procedures for different detection scenarios by including post incident and analysis review results
• Supporting different security measures (e.g. rollout of cloud workload protection) to enhance the company’s security
• Aligning detections with different stakeholder within the ACDC Tribe , the cloud team and security governance community
• Automating security processes within our security tools
• Tailoring detection scenarios based on specific customer setups
• Actively supporting the team during critical security incident during investigation and eradication
