Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Intern in our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) group will make an impact:

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assisting development of the Policy and Compliance program within the GRC group as well as opportunity to work on assignments with other GRC areas: third party risk management, metrics and reporting, and security risk management.

  • Authoring new policies, standards, and procedures combining internal legacy documents and external industry standards.

  • Helping with enhancement of the ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management software to assist in creating and managing policies, standards, and internal control procedures that are cross mapped to external regulations and benchmarks.

  • Collaborating with other Global Security and IT colleagues to facilitate creating and editing of policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Developing solutions and standard processes to help ensure standardized approaches are embedded for ongoing management through the content lifecycle.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Completed at least your sophomore year and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a degree major in a relevant field such as English, Technical Writing, Communication, Computer Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of information security concepts, terminology, and best practices. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, encryption, network security, and other related topics is a plus.

  • Strong writing and editing skills are crucial, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, management, and other team members.

  • Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and managing time effectively.

  • Examples of your writing, especially in the information security domain or on a complex topic would make your application stand out.

The salary range for this position is:  if pursuing Bachelor's degree = $20/hour, if pursuing Master's degree = $25/hour, if pursuing Doctorate degree = $30/hour.
