Your Impact  

 
As an Electronic Warfare Product Manager at Dedrone, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Dedrone’s EW products for airspace security. We are seeking an industry expert with a deep understanding of counter unmanned aerial systems (Counter UAS) and a forward-thinking perspective on the evolving landscape of drone technology and security. The ideal candidate has in-depth understanding of Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA), especially systems which disrupt or deny communication and navigation systems.  They will have hands-on experience with Counter UAS systems or other relevant EW systems and a proven track record of driving product innovation and development in the defense industry. 

 
What You’ll Do  
Location: Sterling, VA 

Reports to: Chief Product Officer 

Direct Reports: N/A 

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with Dedrone's vision and market demands. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive product innovation and differentiation.  
  • Technical Leadership: Dedrone’s EW systems present particular technical challenges somewhat unique to military and dual-use systems. A strong technical background is desired over more customer-facing qualities in this product leader. 
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market opportunities, and competitive landscape. Gather insights from customers, stakeholders, and industry experts to inform product roadmap decisions.  
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, project and program management, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and drive product development initiatives. Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.  
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their pain points, gather feedback, and validate product concepts. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive customer-centric product development.  
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and standards related to drone technology and airspace security. Ensure that Dedrone's products comply with relevant regulations and certifications. 

 

What You Bring 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.  
  • Proven track record of 5+ years of experience in product management or EW technology development, ideally with a focus on communication EW and navigation EW (NAVWAR), counter UAS systems, or related fields.  
  • Deep understanding of drone technology, including hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems, especially communication protocols and communication theory. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with customers.  
  • Experience working in complex development environments and familiarity with product management tools and methodologies including adaptive and predictive project management styles  
  • Passion for innovation and driving positive change in the aerospace and defense industry.
