Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor IT security strategies to protect Fintech applications, platforms, and sensitive data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to data protection and cybersecurity.
  • Lead the response to security incidents and work to investigate, resolve, and prevent future breaches.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, IT infrastructure, and software development teams to integrate security best practices into software development lifecycles.
  • Manage and improve identity and access management (IAM) processes, ensuring secure user authentication and authorization.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and Fintech industry trends, proactively adapting security measures.
  • Provide guidance on security architecture, including encryption, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Lead training and awareness programs for employees to ensure best practices in data security.
  • Maintain and update security documentation and policies in alignment with evolving regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security within a Fintech company in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity protocols, encryption methods, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Proficient in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and knowledge of banking security technologies (e.g., payment gateways, PCI DSS).
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with security incident management, vulnerability assessment tools, and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of UAE data protection laws, GDPR, and financial industry compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
