A Senior Cloud Developer/Solutions Architect will be responsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and data as a service (DaaS). The successful candidate will be able to implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices. This position will analyze applications and make recommendations across multiple areas that identify what platforms can move, migrate, and/or be deployed into a cloud environment.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization and benefit analyses of cloud, cloud agnostic, and on-site premise services
- Translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions
- Develop and design solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms and integrating systems
- Develop and implement cloud-applications; develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software
- Migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud
- Debug cloud stacks
- Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects
- Perform as the highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
The position may be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C., or in Huntsville, AL and typically requires work to be performed onsite. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.
The annual base salary range for this position is $131,500 - $160,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Requirements
- Must have Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelors’ degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 years of related experience with cloud development, or a combination of experience and certifications that demonstrates ability to perform at this level
- Proven domain and expert technical knowledge
- Prior experience initiating, supervising, and/or developing requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex programs
- Experience providing strategic advice and technical guidance to program and project staff
- Demonstrated experience with detailed analysis, evaluation and providing recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts
