A Senior Agile Release Train Engineer will be involved in the managing and optimizing of the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanban and other information radiators.

Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning readiness by fostering the preparation of vision and backlogs, and through pre- and post-PI Planning meetings
  • Facilitate the PI planning event; assist with tracking the execution of features and capabilities
  • Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
  • Coaching leaders, teams, and scrum masters in lean-agile practices and mindsets
  • Manage risks and dependencies
  • Escalate and track impediments
  • Improve the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps
  • Facilitate system demos and solution demos
  • Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve

The position may be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C., or in Huntsville, AL and typically requires work to be performed onsite. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $121,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Requirements

  • Must have Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelors’ degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8 years of related experience, or a combination of experience and certifications that demonstrates ability to perform at this level
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading major technology assignments
  • Proven experience evaluating performance results and recommending major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams in understanding Agile principles and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leadership on decision making and product releases
  • Knowledge of Lean-Agile frameworks, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile budgeting, and Agile metrics
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analysis skills in developing solutions

Desired

  • SAFe RTE Certification
  • Knowledge of the product development cycle
  • Experience in DevSecOps
