Aerospace is seeking an Undergrad Intern for the Cyber Assessments and Research Department in the Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD). This position will be in El Segundo, CA.

Job Summary

Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.

Work Model

This position will be a hybrid work model and offer partially remote with some onsite work required in Chantilly, VA

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work in Lab environments to prototype new and emerging capabilities.

  • Develop and test cyber offensive and defensive technologies.

  • Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.

  • Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.

  • Training and mentorship will be provided.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Currently enrolled full time at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or Cyber Security program.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Minimum GPA 3.0

  • Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full- time after completion of the internship.

  • Experience programming in C, C++ or JAVA, Python

  • Experience with Unix based systems.

  • Background with either hardware or software

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

  • Transcripts required.

How You Can Stand Out

  • GPA 3.5 or higher

  • Active security clearance

  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations, leading small groups, etc.

  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.

  • Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.

  • Software design, development, unit testing and integration experience

  • Experienced with virtualization and cloud environments.

  • Participation in extracurricular activities related to assignment.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
