IT Security Analyst / Support Specialist

The Information Security Analyst plays a crucial role in protecting the organization's information systems and data from various security threats. This individual is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s information systems by identifying potential vulnerabilities, managing security tools, and implementing policies and procedures to protect data. This role requires a proactive approach to security, staying up-to-date with the latest cyber threats and security trends.
What you have already achieved: (Requirements)
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or similar area of study
- 2+ years experience in Information Security
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks
- Experience monitoring and addressing system vulnerabilities
- Experience with Security Awareness training
What you are great at: (Responsibilities)
- Monitor security incidents and respond promptly to any threats or breaches.
- Daily monitor and respond to Endpoint alerts, SIEM, IAM and IT Group emails.
- Maintain all computers, printers and software that DLP owns and utilizes.
- Support, secure and update our Mac laptops and manage changes with the MDM.
- Research and test system configurations and make recommendations to secure our environment.
- Manage DNS and ensure that changes are made with DLP’s digital assets in mind.
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
- Support our end users software and hardware needs.
- Analyze security alerts and logs to identify and address potential threats.
- Use security tools and software to monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity.
- Conduct monthly system access reviews to ensure that only active users have access to systems related to their job responsibilities.
- Use risk management strategies to mitigate system, application and contract risks.
- Setup, use and monitor identity access controls to secure our environment including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, Geo Blocking, etc.
