How You’ll Make An Impact 

The Surefire Cyber internship is slated to start on Monday June 3rd, 2025, and end on Friday August 8th, 2025. This will be a paid remote internship, and the work hours are anticipated to be 10-25 hours a week cannot exceed a maximum of 30 hours worked a week on average.  

The Surefire Cyber Intern will be aligned to different functions within our organization that are dedicated to the investment and the professional development of a bright, high potential Intern. Surefire Cyber anticipates hiring five interns for the 2025 summer: three in Digital Forensics and Incident Response, one in Restoration and Remediation, and one in IT Solutions/Engineering.  

The intern will provide their own laptop, and we will provide the additional tools, resources, and applicable training to ensure you get the most of your internship. Your successful completion of an internship with Surefire Cyber is important to our company, and we will also seek regular input from you on your experience to improve our program and overall internship experience.  

Highlight: Two of our summer 2024 interns transitioned into full-time team members! 

If applicable, towards the conclusion of the 2025 summer internship period, interns may be invited to apply and interview for full-time opportunities on our team.  

Your Role In Action 

  • Gain hands-on experience and mentorship in cybersecurity while learning from industry experts 
  • Tackle unfamiliar tasks and situations with confidence and a willingness to learn.  
  • Play an active role in team meetings, sharing your ideas and input to drive innovation and collaboration. 
  • Leverage Technology:  
  • Utilize tools such as the MS Office Suite and other software applications to assist with documentation, data entry, and reporting. 
  • Gain a better understanding of specific tools and software used in your area of focus 
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, staying organized and meeting deadlines. Learn to navigate competing priorities while building valuable project management experience.  

Your Expertise  

  • An expressed interest in the Internship opportunity at Surefire Cyber, and a passion for learning more about the cybersecurity industry.  
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written), and good listening skills. 
  • Open to professional feedback and apply feedback day-to-day.  
  • Knowledge of computer systems and general familiarity with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Background or strong interest in fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Digital Forensics, or Information Technology. 
  • Bonus for IT Solutions/Engineering: A strong passion for exploring DevOps and application development 

Expertise in all these areas is not required, but you should be excited by the opportunity to learn new things and comfortable with working with other team members to expand your knowledge base and experience.   • Virtual interview with specified functional leader (approx., 45 minutes)  
  • Virtual interview with internal stakeholders (approx., 45 minutes)  
  • Virtual interview with CEO (Chief Executive Officer) (approx., 30 minutes)
