We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has the right mix of software development experience, security research knowhow, and passion for solving complex security-oriented problems by conducting exploratory development to answer, “what if” and “how does this work” type of questions in large and complex systems.

Career Level - IC3
Your responsibilities include contributing towards the design and the implementation of functionality that helps understand how a complex system work in practice, monitor its traffic behavior and track security threats that may affect the system. You will actively engage with the team (and our partner security teams) in exploring security requirements and developing appropriate detection logic. With your security expertise you will contribute to the team’s know how and oversee the implementation of said detections in compliance with information security standards and corporate security policies. You may occasionally evaluate internal security architectures including design assessment, risk assessment, and threat modeling and participate in investigations and root cause analyses of network events.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network security engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in networking technologies, network security, and network monitoring solutions.
- Comfortable with writing non-trivial code in Python, Scala, and good skills in Java.
- Good background in cloud infrastructure automation (Terraform, Chef, or similar).
- Good background in distributed systems incl. Spark and container platforms incl. Kubernetes.
- Experience in working in a DevOps model using any of the major cloud providers Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of security systems, security protocols and principles.
- Experience of working on SIEM tools like Splunk to analyze logs and correlate events.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA / CCNP, SANS, OCSP, CISSP, CISA, Firewall and Cloud certifications).
- Oracle products knowledge.
