SUMMARY
This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance of employee benefit and retirement programs, integrity of benefits-related data, and process optimization. Collaborates with Benefits department leaders, HRIS and various stakeholders to support benefits operations. Performs data analytics to support informed decision-making.STATUS: Full Time

SCHEDULE: Weekdays (8am-4:30pm)
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Associates degree required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience administering employee benefit programs required.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a management role required.
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
- CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) designation.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience business processes Workday or other HRIS systems.
- Experience with retirement plan administration and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of pertinent benefit regulations and experience fulfilling compliance requirements (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS, and DOL, etc.)
- Experience with data analytics, reporting, and data management.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Excel for data analytics and audits including vlook-ups, pivot tables, etc. Demonstrated ability working with large data sets, queries, and data imports/exports.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as attention to detail, project management, planning and organization skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and group presentation skills, with the ability to convey a positive and professional image in person, work effectively with team members and leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compliance: Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to health and welfare benefits and retirement plans (ERISA, COBRA, DOL, IRS, ACA, etc.). Addresses compliance issues proactively. Oversees all compliance-related activities, including regulatory mailings (Creditable Coverage, Annual Funding Notice, Summary Annual Reports, required filings (Form 5500, PBGC, CMS), and annual audits. Coordinates plan document updates to ensure compliance with regulatory developments and alignment with plan administration. Responsible for maintaining new hire compliance documents, annual compliance guide and ensuring appropriate distribution of required documents such as Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary of Benefits and Coverage, etc. Collaborates with internal and external auditors on annual retirement plan audits and benefit plan reviews. Manages annual nondiscrimination testing (NDT) data preparation and process for retirement plans and dependent care FSAs. Partners with IT to ensure cybersecurity measures are followed to protect sensitive benefit data. Ensures satisfactory user entity controls are in place. Regularly conducts user audits. Partners with Benefits team and HRIS on benefits related reporting and invoices for billing purposes.
- Systems & Efficiency: Collaborates with the HRIS team to support Workday benefits administration. Provides input on business process design and optimization. Assists with testing of system configuration changes, updates, and new functionalities. Troubleshoots system issues and identifies areas for improvement. Monitors future Workday enhancements and recommends implementation to ensure efficiency of benefits administration.
- Data Management: Responsible for maintaining integrity of team member/participant benefits data housed in Workday, pension administration system, and vendor platforms. Ensures execution of routine health and welfare, and retirement data audits to ensure accuracy and synchronicity across internal and external systems. Ensures timely reconciliation and funding of all defined contribution and deferred compensation deferrals. Prepares data for non-discrimination testing, annual audits, actuarial valuations and other benefit-related analyses. Calculates annual match contributions and true-ups. Provides mentorship, training and oversight of Benefits/Retirement Data Coordinator. Partners with Benefits team, HRIS, and vendors to address data discrepancies and resolve data-related issues. Acts as liaison between HRIS and vendors on benefits integrations. Validates integration specifications in accordance with data requirements and benefits program rules. Works with HRIS to troubleshoot integration data related errors.
- Data Analytics: Conducts regular benchmarking and trend analysis to evaluate benefits offerings against industry standards and emerging best practices. Identifies opportunities for improvement and provides strategic recommendations to ensure the organization's benefits remain competitive, align with market trends, and support team member needs. Identifies and collects key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. Develops intuitive dashboards and visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs, and reports) to monitor and communicate KPI performance, enabling data-driven decision-making. Works with HRIS to develop reports and analytics to support business needs.

14617The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
