About the role:

Lead a dynamic team of Cyber Security engineers, managing various cybersecurity solutions and supporting systems that protect all Capitec client services, e.g. Capitec's mobile banking app, the biggest and best banking app in South Africa! Analyze, design, implement, and support Cyber Security infrastructure and solutions.

Oversee security solutions for the organization, across all our clients, internal and external, and ensure delivery aligns with our value objectives, standards, and compliance. Your efforts will play a pivotal role in protecting the bank from cyber threats, making your work both meaningful and rewarding.

At Capitec, we foster a strong learning culture, encouraging continuous upskilling and certification in various cybersecurity domains, while promoting cross-skilling and collaboration for professional growth.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years’ experience in Cyber Security working with security solutions in a large heterogeneous environment.
• People leadership and/or management in a corporate environment.
• Planning, organizing, coordinating and prioritizing complex technical requirements in an agile delivery environment.
• Security Architecture, Design and Operations, including hybrid infrastructure, operating systems and supporting software.
• Security engineering and support in a 24x7 Cyber Security environment.
