We are recruiting a Senior Expert Cyber Motor & Retail within Global P&C. The role is pivotal in driving Allianz's global cyber strategy within the P&C Motor and Personal Lines business, focusing on managing cyber risks and enhancing our cyber insurance offerings. As a key member of the Center of Competence Cyber Motor & Retail, you will lead efforts to define underwriting risk appetites, develop innovative insurance solutions, and ensure effective implementation across our global operations. 

How can you make an impact?

From day one, you will be an integral part of our central team, spearheading the development and implementation of Allianz's global cyber strategy for the P&C Motor and Personal Lines business. You will lead efforts to define and monitor the underwriting risk appetite for affirmative cyber coverages, ensuring alignment with our global objectives. Your role will involve crafting referral triggers and thresholds for Operating Entities, supporting adherence to our strategic goals. As you drive the development of innovative cyber insurance products, you will ensure transparency and consistency across our global operations, maintaining a central overview of all affirmative cyber coverages.

In this dynamic international environment, collaboration will be key as you engage with cross-functional teams, including Group Risk, Allianz Re, and key Operating Entities. You will play a pioneering role in establishing sustainable insurance solutions for cyber risks, acting as a bridge between technical experts and business stakeholders. Your proactive approach will involve monitoring cyber-specific market trends and shaping Allianz’s cyber strategy in collaboration with policymakers and industry partners. Communication will be essential as you provide regular updates to senior management, fostering a culture of informed decision-making and strategic alignment. Your leadership and expertise will be crucial in advancing our cyber capabilities, ensuring Allianz remains at the forefront of the industry.

What are you made of?

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• Excellent understanding of cyber insurance products, underwriting processes, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of technology and cyber risks, particularly in relation to connected vehicles, IoT and AI.
• Demonstrated drive towards thought leadership and innovation in the field.
• Strong ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences and confidence to interact with senior management.
• Ability to work independently and quickly take on new tasks and topics.
• Experience in managing small projects.
• Excellent English language skills, additional language is a plus. 
• Master degree in numerate, technical or IT related discipline preferred.
• Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Physics, Applied Mathematics or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
