We are hiring for a Information Systems Security Specialist to support an upcoming contract with the Department of the Navy onsite in Port Hueneme, CA. This role involves supporting the research, development, testing, and evaluation of new and emerging technologies to meet mission requirements, such as cloud services or Big Data analysis, based on business case analysis. Additionally, support is provided for the command's computing environment, which includes maintaining servers, networks, applications, and databases, as well as performing OS upgrades and security patches to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and operational availability for both unclassified and classified systems (up to Secret) and the Secure Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNET).

Requirements

    • 5+ years with the DoD Cybersecurity Authorization & Accreditation processes and tools (to include RMF and eMASS)
    • 5+ years of cybersecurity system auditing and monitoring experience (to include IG inspection and Command Cyber Readiness Inspection criteria)
    • 5+ years of experience with the Navy's ACAS system and VRAM
    • Knowledge of HBSS, Firewall, IDS, and IPS
    • Bachelor's degree in technical or managerial related discipline
    • One of the following: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC).
    • Interim DoD SECRET Clearance is required to start. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience with Department of the Defense or Department of the Navy cybersecurity policy and procedures
    • Experience managing DoD Cybersecurity Program requirements and deliverables

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $122,000 to $146,000 (annually).
